I wonder if the recent improvements by Ferrari and McLaren means that the aero and tunnel time regulations are starting to have an impact relative to Red Bull, or both teams simply got their act together by restructuring and learning from last year. Or perhaps it's down to Red Bull reaching the limits of the concept as teams converge.

It seems like all of the cars are making the rear/engine area narrower and taller to aid the diffuser and keep losses higher up. Interesting development for sure.

As a McLaren fan I wanted to find a weakness here, but the Ferrari looks like a rock-solidly faster car than it was last time. Imola could be a great race even if it stays dry this weekend.

I don't understand BoP. Why let manufacturers develop cars to be faster, if you're just going to kneecap them as soon as they do well? Seems to me as if it's just an insanely complicated way to fail at having a one-make series.

Probably you overlooked, that RB has also openings into the center of the floorplate, and IMHO, there are movable flaps operated with electric actuators, to change the flow when loosing weight during the race. This allows also better control of tire wear

Warum gibt es keine Keramikkolben, bez. Motoerteile? Weil Keramik, im Gegensatz zum Aluminium, ein ganz schlechter Wärmeleiter ist. Behält ein Motor höhere Temperatur, lässt sich im Brennraum weniger Luft komprimieren. siehe Ladeluftkühler

My only critique of this is that we aren’t able to see the benefit of each individual modification. Obviously the gains are impressive, but I would have been interested to know what percentage each modification contributed.

Say what you want want, BoP makes WEC racing artificial. I hear more and more people becoming WEC fans cos the racing is close, but imagine the EPL making Haaland wear weights in his boots, or the ATP enforcing Djokovic and Alcaraz to play with a smaller racket. The racing might looks like it's better, but you know in your heart that it's a rigged game.

"It looks like someone doesn't want them to be competitive after they had such a good rating in Qatar and still couldn't win" well they were the only ones that were able to keep up with Porsche, ran into a problem on the second to last lap and have since introduced the biggest upgrades we've seen since the beginning of Hypercar. changing their entire Aero concept. I agree that the Peugeot should have a bit more power or less weight, but that analysis makes no sense.
